best-ever chicken pot pie

This is a delicious recipe that I got from a friend years ago. Its my families all time favorite dinner. Cooking the chicken is included in the Prep time.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium chicken
  • 2 cans cream of potato soup (undiluted)
  • 1 can mixed vegetables
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 package pillsbury rolled pie crust (2 per pkg)

How To Make best-ever chicken pot pie

  • Step 1
    Cook chicken on stove top, until done.
  • Step 2
    After chicken is removed from broth, cool and debone.
  • Step 3
    Mix all ingredients with deboned chicken.
  • Step 4
    Press pie crust into pie pan, add chicken mixture to crust and apply top crust and press edges, add a slit to middle of pie crust.
  • Step 5
    Place Pot Pie in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
