How To Make beer can chicken
-
Step 1Preheat grill between 375ºF to 400ºF.
-
Step 2In a bowl, add oil, chicken spice mix, and brown sugar; set aside.
-
Step 3Pour beer into a canister. Add basil leaves, thyme sprigs, and garlic clove. Place the lid on, secure it, and slide it into the stand sitting on the tray.
-
Step 4Sit chicken on top of the canister and move its legs forward to stabilize the bird. Evenly brush on the rub, making sure to cover the entire chicken.
-
Step 5Place the tray in the middle of the preheated grill with indirect heat, close the lid, and cook until internal temperature reaches 175ºF.
-
Step 6About 45 minutes after sitting there (literally), brush on BBQ Sauce for Chicken, close the lid, and repeat every 15 minutes until it’s done.
