Just adopted this recipe and oh I am excited to making it my own!!! will let you know all my changes, first thing I am changing name to Beef Tamale Pie, just like My Mommy's! Next I am changing corn meal for Mazeca corn flour!!

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup mazeca corn flour!
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 tablespoon instant onion, minced
- 1 can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 1/2 cups chicken, cooked and chopped
- 1 - parsley sprig chopped
How To Make beef tamale pie

Step 1Mix cornmeal, water and salt in a saucepan; bring to a boil.

Step 2Simmer, stirring constantly, until mixture becomes very thick.

Step 3Remove from heat; stir in cheese and onion.

Step 4Spread mixture evenly into bottom and sides of a greased 2-quart baking casserole.

Step 5Mix together chili, kidney beans, pimientos and chicken; pour mixture into lined bowl.

Step 6Cover; bake in preheated 350 oven 35 to 40 minutes, or until bubbly.

Step 7Serve hot, sprinkled with chopped parsley.
