BBQ CHICKEN SAUCE

Last night I tried Pioneer Woman's BBQ sauce with chicken wings(she used chickie legs) and I give it a high 5! It made about 2 cups of sauce and I only used 1/2 of it as I was cooking for 2 and the balance went in the freezer for next time I get ready for some good ol southern shredded pork bbq sammies I have the sauce ready..

Ingredients

chicken thighs, legs etc you are going to bbq
1 Tbsp
canola oil
1/4 c
or more to your liking diced onions
2 clove
minced garlic
1 c
catsup
1/4 c
brown sugar
4 Tbsp
vinegar
1 Tbsp
worshereshire sauce
1/3 c
molasses
4 Tbsp
adobe chipole peppers in sauce
dash(es)
salt

How to Make BBQ CHICKEN SAUCE

Step-by-Step

  • 1Pre heat oven to 425*
  • 2Place chicken on a rack in oven to roast for 20 minutes.
  • 3While chicken parts are roasting .. heat oil in a saucepan on medium low heat and then add onion and minced garlic.. cook 5 minutes then reduce heat to low and add remaining ingredients and simmer while chicken parts are roasting.
  • 4After 20 minutes check your chicken and then broil for 5 minutes.
  • 5Remove chicken and reduce oven heat to 350.
  • 6Dip chicken into the bbq sauce and return to oven for 5 minutes more. Then take out and brush with remaining sauce.
