Just made this today. Not sure where I got the recipe from. It was very good. Served it with rice.

Ingredients

  • 1
    chicken, cut up
  • 2/3 c
    water
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter or margarine
  • 2 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 c
    onion, sliced
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 c
    bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 c
    catsup
  • 1/2 c
    mushrooms
  • 1/2 tsp
    paprika

How to Make BBQ Chicken Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. Fry chicken in flour and oil (I used olive oil), until lightly golden.
  2. Preheat oven to 350 and place chicken in 9x13 bake pan.
  3. In sauce pan, melt butter and add onion and peppers until tender. Add the mushrooms and remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil and pour over chicken.
  4. Cover and bake for 45 mins.
