Basil Grilled Chicken

Great use for all that basil in the summer.

3/4 tsp
course ground pepper
chicken breast halves
1/3 c
butter, melted
2 Tbsp
chopped fresh basil
1 Tbsp
grated parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp
garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
several fresh basil leaves uncut


1Press 3/4 tsp. pepper into meaty sides of chicken breast.
2Combine 1/3 c. melted butter 2 tbsp. chopped basil, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and salt and pepper in bowl Beat with mixer on low speed until mixed well.
3Grill chicken over med coals or heat depending on your source, 8-10 minutes on each side. Basting with butter mixture. Serve Grilled chicken with basil butter and garnish with fresh basil sprigs
