I Love to cook but am on a very tight survival budget.. I cant afford fancy restaurants but a few years ago.. decided to enjoy those foods I like to eat at restaurants , but make them at home and had a bonus of homemade Chicken soup. I wanted to do something different w the CHICKEN PIECES. A package of Slider buns were sitting on the countertop.. AH HA! CHICKEN SLIDERS w a hit of Smoked Paprika and Cumin.. and then the spicy BABY RAYS, I decided carmelized onions green pepper would spice it up some more. BASICALLY JUST YUMMY

Ingredients

  • chicken 4 chicken thighs thick cut
  • Carrots 2 fresh peeled
  • Onion 2 thin sliced whole onion
  • 1 cup chopped green pepper small pieces
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 2 tablespoons herbs of provence
  • 2 tablespoons powdered garlic
  • 1 bottle sweet baby rays bbq sauce w pineapple
  • 1 package hawaiian slider buns or dinner rolls
  • 1/2 cup butter or olive oil to saute
  • 2 medium onions to saute

How To Make barbq pulled chicken sliders &chickensoup

  • Step 1
    Fill large stock pot w 2 quartz of water. Bring to a boil adding all your Spices, S & P with carrot onion and thick chicken thighs.. Bring to boil cook about 40 minutes till chicken thighs are cooked thru.
  • Step 2
    Pull chicken pieces out . Take two forks Pull skin off. Discard the skin. Discard all the bones. Shred the chicken w forks. Each piece remove skin and bones carefully.all you want is shredded chicken.
  • Step 3
    Take left over Chicken broth cool. Pour into your fav storage container. Chill. this is about the sliders but you have the extra bonus of Homemade chicken soup!
  • Step 4
    Take large onion and slice thinly. chop some tiny pieces of Green pepper. Saute lightly in butter or olive oil w salt and pepper.. let them carmelize a bit. remove from heat while slightly brown and carmel looking.
  • Step 5
    Take your BABY RAYS BBQ sauce. Pour about 1/2cup to 1 cup on the shredded Chicken. Add some Cumin, smoked paprika, Toss till fully coated. Add sauted onions and green pepper.
  • Step 6
    cut your slider buns in half put 2-3 on plate. Open and top w BBQ sauced chicken. Top w carmelized onion. Put the bun top on. Serve w Cole slaw or some delicious side.. YUM IT.. this is so DELISH! Have your homemade Chicken soup another nite! TONITE IS BBQ CHICKEN SLIDER DINNER for Two!

    Slice 2 onions for lots of carmelized onions to add on top of your Shredded Barbq chicken slider. . Saute onions in butter w salt pepper and a hit of paprika smokey is best ! serve hot on top of your sliders put the bun top on.. delish!
