Ingredients
- avocado oil for coating chicken
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- salt and pepper
- 1/2 cup bottled mild salsa
- 3/4 cup shredded Monterrey Jack cheese
- 2 chopped Roma tomatoes for topping
- 1 avocado, thinly sliced for topping
- cilantro leaves for topping
How To Make baked salsa chicken breasts

Step 1Coat chicken breasts with avocado oil. Combine cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Coat both sides of the chicken with the seasoning mix. Place chicken in an oven-proof baking dish. Top chicken with salsa.

Step 2Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Bake chicken for 20 minutes - remove dish from oven and top chicken breasts with shredded cheese. Bake chicken for an additional 10 minutes until cooked through.

Step 3Remove the dish from the oven and plate the chicken. Top chicken with chopped Roma tomatoes and sliced avocado. Sprinkle chicken with cilantro leaves.
