- 3-3 1/2 pounds broiler-fryer, cut up
- 1 can sliced mushrooms, undrained (4 oz)
- 1 cup burgundy or other dry red wine
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dried whole oregano
- - hot cooked rice

Step 1Place the cut-up chicken in a 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish

Step 2Drain mushrooms, reserving liquid. Add enough water to the liquid to equal 1/4 cup. Combine mushrooms, liquid, wine, and next 7 ingredients in a jar. Cover tightly and shake vigorously Pour the mushroom mixture over the chicken.

Step 3Bake, uncovered, at 375 degrees for 1 hour or until the chicken is done. Serve with rice.
