Ingredients
- 2 - boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 4 - eggs, beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup fine bread crumbs
- 8 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 4 ounces gruyere cheese, shredded
- 1 cup chicken stock
- 1 - lemon, juiced
How To Make baked chicken breasts with gruyere & mushrooms

Step 1Cut boned breasts into strips.

Step 2Marinate in egg and salt mixture for 1 hour.

Step 3Roll chicken in bread crumbs to coat.

Step 4Brown lightly in butter in small pan.

Step 5Transfer to 1 1/2 quart casserole.

Step 6Slice mushrooms over chicken.

Step 7Sprinkle cheese over mushrooms.

Step 8Pour chicken stock over all.

Step 9Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until heated through.

Step 10Pour fresh lemon juice over casserole just before serving.
