Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine
  • 2-1/2 - 3 pounds cut-up chicken
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 medium - onion, finely chopped (about 1/2 cup)
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped

How To Make baked barbecued chicken

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Step 2
    Heat butter/margarine in 13X9X2" pan in oven.
  • Step 3
    Place chicken in butter/margarine, turning to coat. Arrange skin side down. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes
  • Step 4
    Mix remaining ingredients in a 1-quart saucepan. Heat to boiling and remove from heat. Drain fat from chicken; turn skin side up. Spoon sauce over chicken and bake uncovered until thickest pieces are done and juices of chicken run clear, about 30 minutes longer.
