My son drank the last of the bit of milk I had, and I was telling him that I needed it for making fried chicken. As I grabbed a beer to drink he said, "What are you gonna do, use beer!?' And this creation was born :) **There is not enough alcohol to be bad for kids.

prep time 5 Min
cook time 30 Min
method Stove Top
yield 8 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 3 - eggs
  • 1 cup beer (i used bud light)
  • 1 cup flour, or more
  • 2 slices bacon, per drumstick
  • 8 - chicken drumsticks
  • - oil to fry chicken

How To Make bacon, beer, and chicken

  • Step 1
For half of my chicken, I wrapped 2 slices of bacon around each drumstick. In a cake pan, bake at 365 for about 30 minutes. Broil for 5-10 minutes on each side to crisp up the bacon.
  • Step 2
For the beer battered chicken: Whisk up 3 eggs, pour in 1 cup beer (or however much you like) and mix with flour.
  • Step 3
Dip the drumstick in the batter, cover well. Fry in oil until golden brown and cooked.
