We love honey mustard, and I came up with this while looking for something different to do with boneless breasts. It's also great over boneless pork loin chops.

Blue Ribbon Recipe

This recipe is an easy and delicious way to prepare chicken breasts. Starting to bake the chicken breasts with a little butter on top adds flavor and moisture. They're brushed with a homemade honey mustard sauce that's sweet thanks to the honey, tangy thanks to the Dijon dressing, creamy from mayonnaise, and savory from a touch of Worcestershire sauce. Once baked, the chicken breasts are juicy and delicious. Serve with your favorite veggie for an easy chicken dinner recipe.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
  • salt, to taste
  • black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/3 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

How To Make awesome honey mustard chicken

  • Add chicken breasts to a baking dish and top with salt, pepper, and butter.
    Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a 9x13 glass pan with cooking spray. Lay chicken breasts in the pan. Salt and pepper to taste. Add a small pat of butter to the top of each breast.
  • Bake for 20 minutes.
    Step 2
Place in the oven and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Add the Dijon mustard, honey, mayonnaise, and Worcestershire sauce to a bowl and mix.
    Step 3
While the chicken is baking, add the Dijon mustard, honey, mayonnaise, and Worcestershire sauce to a bowl. Mix with a fork until well blended.
  • Turn chicken breasts over and top with some of the honey mustard mixture.
    Step 4
After the first 20 minutes are up, turn the chicken breasts over. Spoon half of the honey mustard mixture evenly over each breast. Bake for another 20 minutes.
  • After 20 minutes, flip and brush with remaining sauce.
    Step 5
After the second 20 minutes is up, turn the breasts back over and top with the remaining half of the honey mustard.
  • Bake another 20 minutes.
    Step 6
Bake 20 more minutes. If during the baking time the pan drippings start to burn, I add a little HOT water to the bottom of the pan to keep the chicken breasts moist.
