awesome chicken pot pie

I got this recipe from Recipe4Living and modified it a wee bit. I used cream of chicken soup. Make sure you drain the veggies. I pre-cooked the chicken by boiling until just cooked. The chicken will continue to cook once you place in oven. This was delicious!! It makes a lot so you can divide in half for a smaller yield. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups bisquick
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cans cream of celery soup or chicken
  • 15 ounces carrots, canned and sliced and drained
  • 15 ounces peas, canned and drained
  • 15 ounces green beans, canned and drained
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 4 - pre-cooked chicken breasts, diced
  • 1 stick butter

How To Make awesome chicken pot pie

  • Step 1
    Place cooked diced chicken in the bottom of a greased 9X13 inch baking dish.
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl, combine soup, broth and drained vegetables. Pour over chicken.
  • Step 3
    In a medium bowl, combine Bisquick (or choice of biscuit mix) and milk. Pour over chicken mixture.
  • Step 4
    Melt butter in microwave-safe dish and drizzle over top of dish.
  • Step 5
    Bake in a 350 degrees oven (uncovered)for 1 hour or until Bisquick rises and browns.
  • Step 6
    ENJOY!!
