Ingredients

  • 4
    whole pita breads
  • 2
    tablespoons olive oil
  • 1
    med ripe avocado,peeled and pitted
  • 1/4 tsp
    lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp
    hot pepper sauce
  • 3/4 lb
    cooked rotisserie chicken,cut in strips
  • 1 med
    tomato,chopped
  • 2 cups
    monterey jack cheese,shredded

How to Make Avocado Chicken Pitas

Step-by-Step

  1. Brush one side of each pita bread with oil.place on an ungreased baking sheet. bake at 350' for 12 to 15 min or until browned and crisp.
  2. Meanwhile,in a small bowl,mash the avocado with lemon juice,salt,garlic power and hot pepper sauce.spread over pitas.layer with chicken,tomato and cheese.bake for 5 to 6 min or until cheese is melted.
