Ingredients

    chicken wings separated at joint
  • 1 c
    milk
  • ·
    salt and pepper
  • 1 c
    cornstarch
  • SAUCE

  • 1/2 c
    each sugar and rice vinegar
  • 1/3 c
    each water and honey
  • 1/4 c
    sweet soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    sesame oil
  • 2 Tbsp
    garlic chili sauce
  • 4 clove
    garlic minced
  • 2 Tbsp
    white sesame seeds and cilantro (optional)

How to Make Asian Style Chicken WIngs

Step-by-Step

  1. Salt and pepper chicken wings then soak them in milk. Dredge them in cornstarch and deep fry for 5 minutes.
  2. Place all the ingredients for sauce except sesame seeds and cilantro together in sauce pan. Bring to a boil reduce to a simmer and simmer 10 minutes. Take a little cornstarch mixed with water to make slurry and add to sauce ingredients to thicken to desired consistency. Pour sauce over chicken and sprinkle with sesame seeds and cilantro
  3. I didn't deep fry my chicken wings I just baked them and then served the sauce over them.
