asian stuffed cabbage rolls

These are so good. If you can't find sweet soy sauce you can make it by adding two parts soy sauce to one part corn syrup. I like to drizzle more sweet soy sauce on top when I serve these.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound gd. pork, gd. beef, gd. chicken or turkey your choice
  • 1 cup carrots julieened
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 1 cup cooked quinoa
  • 1 cup shiitake mushrooms diced
  • 3 - green onions sliced
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger minced
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons rice vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce
  • 8 - leaves separated from head of cabbage
  • SAUCE
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup sweet soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons fish sauce and sweet chili sauce
  • - cilantro for garnish

How To Make asian stuffed cabbage rolls

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven 400 degrees. Mix all ingredients together for cabbage rolls except cabbage.
  • Step 2
    Spray a 9 x 13 pan. Place about 1/2 cup of Asian meat mixture in each cabbage leaf. Roll up and place seam side down in baking pan.
  • Step 3
    Mix the ingredients for sauce together and pour over top cabbage rolls. Top with foil and place in oven and bake 35 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Remove from oven remove foil. With spatula take out each cabbage roll. Drizzle sauce over top and garnish with cilantro.
