Apricot Chicken

2 lb
chicken, pieces
1 pkg
french onion soup mix
2 c
apricot nectar
1.5 lb
apricots, halved in the can


1Dust chicken in flour.
2Fry chicken lightly until starting to brown.
3Place chicken in a casserole dish or a very deep frying pan.
4Add soup powder, nectar and apricots.
5Mix everything well.
6Simmer for 1 hour.
7NOTES: If you cannot get nectar, then use the juice from the apricot halves.
8The French onion soup quantity is not critical, but a soup packet that makes up about 6 cups is about right for 4 to 6 people.
9Serve with potato (baked or boiled), buttered carrots and peas.
