How to Make Applewood Fried Chicken


  1. Place 1 cup flour in a large baggie
    Place the remaining cup of flour with the applewood rub and sugar in another large baggie
  2. Beat the eggs together and place in a shallow dish.
    Place 1 chicken thigh in the plain flour baggie and coat well shaking off excess. Dredge in the egg wash and then into the baggie of flour mixed with applewood rub and sugar. Place on a baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining chicken pieces. Place in refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  3. Heat deep fryer or oil to 325 degrees. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Remove chicken from the fridge and cook in hot oil for about 5 minutes or until skin is browned and crispy. Place on a clean baking sheet and repeat until all chicken pieces is done. Place the baking sheet in oven and roast about 20 minutes or until inside reach 165 degrees
