Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup almonds, slivered
  • 2.5 cups cooked chicken
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup white raisins
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup sherry
  • pinch salt
  • pinch pepper

How To Make almond chicken

  • Step 1
    Melt half the butter in a large skillet.
  • Step 2
    Saute mushrooms about 2 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Add rest of butter, flour, salt and pepper to taste.
  • Step 4
    Add raisins and sherry.
  • Step 5
    Cook until sherry has been absorbed.
  • Step 6
    Add milk and simmer 10 minutes.
  • Step 7
    Serve topped with almonds over rice or toast.
