I stumbled upon this recipe while "stalking" on facebook. lol Can't even remember who to give credit to but it is awesome, thank you whoever you are! I buy the big family packs of chicken when they are on sale. I make stove top chicken (will post later) and the left overs I marinate over night in the 7 up marinade and then I freeze it. I took some camping after it was frozen a few weeks. It thawed in the camper freezer and when I cooked it my brother inlaw cleaned it up. He is a huge fan.I make this often now.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup 7 up (little short can is perfect)
  • 1 cup wishbone house italian dressing
  • 1 cup soy sauce ( i use lite sodium)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic
  • pound chicken

How To Make 7 up chicken marinade

  • Step 1
I mix all ingredients in a gallon freezer bag. I take boneless skinless chicken breast and filet them in half so they cook more even. I put the chicken in the bag as much as I have left from a family pack.
  • Step 2
I wiggle the chicken in the bag to get it all covered and I put it in the fridge over night. The next day I cook it for dinner or I freeze it. I am surprised how nice it tastes and keeps even after freezing it.
  • Step 3
I would be surprised if you don't add this to your weekly menu during the grilling season. I am sure it would cook nicely in a George Foreman grill too. Yummy!
