zesty turkey burger casserole
I created a new burger casserole recipe. It's ground turkey with more zesty, seasoned with Grill Mates' hamburger seasoning and Kinder's smoked onion seasoning, filled with corkscrew pasta, and pepperoni on the bottom.

Ingredients
- 8 ounces Pepper Jack cheese, cut into cubes
- 15 mini pepperoni slices
- 4 tablespoons hamburger seasoning, divided
- 16 ounces dry corkscrew pasta
- 2 pounds ground turkey
- 1 medium red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons smoked onion seasoning, divided
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 3/4 cup half and half
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend
How To Make zesty turkey burger casserole

Step 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Step 2Coat the sides and bottom of a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

Step 3Add cubed pepper Jack cheese, sliced pepperoni, and 1 tablespoon hamburger seasoning; mix well with a fork.

Step 4Cook corkscrew pasta according to package directions; drain. Transfer to a large bowl. Season with 1 tablespoon hamburger seasoning.

Step 5Heat ground turkey in a large,deep skillet over medium-low heat. Cook for 5 minutes until crumbled and browned.

Step 6Reduced to low heat, stir in chopped red and green bell peppers, Dijon mustard,1 tablespoon hamburger seasoning, black pepper, and 1 tablespoon smoked onion seasoning.

Step 7Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 8Heat the margarine and remaining smoked onion seasoning in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

Step 9Combine heavy cream, evaporated milk, half and half, cream cheese, shredded Mexican cheese blend, and remaining hamburger seasoning. Stir together for 5 minutes until the sauce is thickened.

Step 10Add cooked corkscrew pasta and ground turkey mixture and stir well for 5 minutes until combined. Remove from heat.

Step 11Pour into a prepared casserole dish and spread evenly.

Step 12Bake for 25 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Cool completely for 8 minutes.
