My family always cooked Italian, so until I got married and tried tortillas with Mexican filling, this was the way I had Tortillas! They are very good!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb
    bulk italian sausage
  • 2 c
    cream style cottage cheese
  • 2 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    dried oregano, crushed
  • 1 tsp
    dried basil, crushed
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 3 c
    bottled spaghetti sauce
  • 10 large
    whole wheat or white flour tortillas
  • 1 1/2 c
    shredded mozzarella cheese

How to Make Tortilla Roll Ups

Step-by-Step

  1. In a skillet, cook the sausage until browned, drain off fat. Stir in cottage cheese and flour. Add oregano, basil and garlic powder to the spaghetti sauce. Stir 1/2 c of the spaghetti sauce into the sausage mixture.
  2. Spoon about 1/3 c meat mixture onto each tortilla, roll up jelly roll style. Place tortillas, seam side down, into a 9x13. Pour remaining spaghetti sauce over tortillas.
  3. Bake, covered, at 375 degrees for 35-40 min. Uncover, sprinkle with mozzarella, bake 3 min more to melt cheese.
