Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh long beans
- 1 pound ground beef or pork
- 1 onion, diced
- salt and pepper, as desired
- 2 cans condensed cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz each)
- 1/4 cup milk
- 8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 pounds frozen tater tots or mini hash browns
How To Make tater tot green bean casserole
-
Step 1Cut the long beans into 1-inch pieces and boil them until just tender crisp; drain.
-
Step 2While the beans are cooking, heat a large non-stick pan and add the beef and onion, season with salt and pepper as desired. Cook, breaking up the beef, until the beef is browned. Drain any excess fat. Preheat your oven to 350° F and get out a 9x13 baking dish.
-
Step 3To the pan with the drained beef, add the drained long beans, soup, milk, and season with black pepper as desired.
-
Step 4Mix together until combined.
-
Step 5Pour mixture into the baking dish and spread out evenly. Sprinkle the cheese over the top of the mixture, then add a single layer of frozen tater tots or mini hash browns on top of the cheese.
-
Step 6Place in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes or until the top is browned and casserole is bubbly.
-
Step 7Remove from the oven, let cool for 5 minutes, serve and enjoy.
