I was looking for a tater tot casserole the other day. I read a few different ones and combined a little of each and it turned out great. It was so good. This one is a keeper.

  • 1 1/2 lb
    ground chuck
  • 1 large
    onion, chopped
  • 3 small
    cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 can(s)
    mixed vegetables, drained
  • 1 pkg
    mccormicks au jus
  • 1 bag(s)
    tater tots or tater rounds
  • 2 c
    shredded cheddar cheese

How to Make Tater Tot Casserole/beef,cheese,veggies


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Brown ground chuck with onion, drain.
  3. In a large mixing bowl pour your 3 cans cream of mushroom soup and 1 package of McCormick's Au Jus. Mix well. Add ground beef and mixed vegetables. Stir until mixed.
  4. Pour into a greased 9x13 baking dish. Cover with cheddar cheese.
  5. Arrange tater tot (or tater rounds) on top of casserole. Bake for 45 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes, then enjoy.

    Note: You can spread the cheese on top of the tater tots, if you like. I like the tater tots crispy, so I spread the cheese on first.
