This is a favorite of all. It heats up nicely so it can be made ahead.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 pound frozen bite sized tater tots, seasoned

How To Make tater-topped casserole

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 375*. Brown meat with onions in a skillet, stirring occasionally, drain.
  • Step 2
    Mix soup and milk. Add meat mixture and mixed vegetables and stir together.
  • Step 3
    Line a layer of potatoes into a 8" square baking dish. Spoon meat mixture on top. Top with remainder of potatoes and cheese.
  • Step 4
    Bake 45 minutes or until potatoes are golden brown and casserole is heated through.
