Ingredients

  • 1/4 c
    butter
  • 2/3 c
    milk
  • 1 pkg
    taco bell seasoning mix
  • 2 1/2 c
    instant mashed potato flakes
  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/2 c
    chopped onion
  • 1/2 c
    salsa
  • ·
    shredded lettuce
  • ·
    chopped tomato
  • ·
    cheddar cheese
  • ·
    sour cream

How to Make Taco Pie

Step-by-Step

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350*
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter. Add milk and 2 tablespoons of the Taco Seasoning. Remove from heat, add potato flakes and mix. Press into the bottom and up the sides of a 9 or 10 inch pie plate.
  3. Bake for 7 to 10 minutes, until barely golden brown. In skillet, brown ground beef and onions. Drain. Add salsa and rest of Taco seasoning mix. Simmer until bubbly.
  4. Pour into potato crust. Bake 15 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Let cool 5 minutes. Top with sour cream, cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce and tomato.
