sweet heat steak casserole
I created a new casserole recipe. It's inspired by Kinders' Sweet Heat seasoning. It will be on steak, it's filled with ziti pasta, black forest ham, and jalapeno slices on the bottom.

Ingredients
- 8 slices deli black forest ham, sliced into strips
- 1 cup cubed processed American cheese
- 3/4 cup pickled jalapeno slices
- 8 tablespoons sweet heat seasoning, divided
- 16 ounces uncooked ziti pasta
- 2 tablespoons steak seasoning, divided
- 2 tablespoons avocado oil
- 4 pounds sirloin steaks, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 medium red bell pepper, seeded and sliced
- 3 fresh jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped
- 1 medium vidalia sweet onion, peeled and chopped
- 1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Irish butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup steak sauce
- 3/4 cup half and half
- 1/4 cup pickled jalapeno liquids
- 3/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend
How To Make sweet heat steak casserole

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2Coat a 13- x 9-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Add black forest ham strips, cubed American cheese, jalapeno slices, and 2 Tbsp sweet heat seasonings; mix well.

Step 3Cook ziti pasta according to package directions; drain. Transfer into a large bowl, season with 2 tablespoons sweet heat and 1 tablespoon steak seasoning.

Step 4In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add steak bites in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness is achieved.

Step 5Add sliced red bell pepper, chopped jalapeno peppers, chopped Vidalia onion, 2 tablespoons sweet heat seasoning, dark brown sugar, and remaining steak seasoning; stir well for 3 minutes until combined.

Step 6Melt Irish butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Combine heavy cream, steak sauce, half and half, jalapeno liquids, Dijon mustard, cream cheese, and remaining sweet heat seasoning; stir well. Let it simmer for 5 minutes or until thickened.

Step 7Add cooked ziti pasta and cubed steak mixture; mix well for 3 minutes until well combined. Remove from heat.

Step 8Spoon into a prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle with Mexican cheese blend.

Step 9Bake for 25 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Cool completely for 13 minutes before serving.
