For the people who love eating steak nachos, I created this new casserole recipe for the first time. It fills with the fixings of steak nachos.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cubed pepper jack cheese
  • 2 cups crushed Doritos, divided
  • 16 ounces uncooked fusilli pasta
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 1 1/2 pounds fresh beef stew meat
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 medium yellow onion, peeled and diced
  • 3 fresh jalapeno peppers, seeded and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon steak seasoning
  • 3 teaspoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 jar processed cheese spread
  • 1 can diced tomatoes and green chiles, drained
  • 1 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend

How To Make steak nacho casserole

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Step 2
    Coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Add cubed pepper jack cheese and sprinkle with 1 cup crushed Doritos; mix well.
  • Step 3
    Cook fusilli pasta according to package directions; drain. Transfer to a large bowl. Add remaining crushed Doritos; toss well. Set aside.
  • Step 4
    Heat avocado oil in a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef stew meat, chopped red bell peppers, diced yellow onion, and sliced jalapeno peppers. Saute for 5 minutes or until the meat is no longer pink.
  • Step 5
    Reduced to low heat. Stir in steak seasoning and lime juice; saute again for 3 minutes until combined.
  • Step 6
    Heat margarine in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Combine heavy cream, milk, cream cheese, red pepper flakes, processed cheese spread, and diced tomatoes and green chilies. Stir well and bring it to a boil for 5 minutes until thickened.
  • Step 7
    Add beef mixture and Doritos fusilli mixture; mix well for 4 minutes until blended. Remove from heat.
  • Step 8
    Pour over a prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle with shredded Mexican cheese blend.
  • Step 9
    Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely for 15 minutes.
