Ingredients For spaghetti bake

1/2-1 conion, chopped

1/2 cgreen bell pepper, chopped (optional) *can use red bell pepper if preferred

1 Tbspbutter

1 can28-oz. can whole tomatoes (with liquid) crushed up
-
1/2 -3/4 csauteed mushrooms in butter and drained well (can substitute jarred mushrooms if preferred)

1 cansmall can sliced black olives
-
2 tspdried oregano
-
1 pkgground beef, cooked and drained

12 ozcooked spaghetti

2 csharp cheddar cheese, grated
-
1 cancream of mushroom soup
-
1/4 cwater
-
1/4 cparmesan cheese (grated)
How To Make spaghetti bake

1Saute the onion, peppers (if using) and fresh mushrooms in butter until soft. Add ground beef and cook until no longer pink.

2Add crushed tomatoes, olives and oregano. If adding jarred mushrooms - add now.

3Place half of the spaghetti in a greased baking dish. Top with half of the tomato mixture. Sprinkle with half the cheddar cheese. Repeat a second layer - noodles, tomatoes and cheese.

4Mix soup and water until smooth and thoroughly mixed. Pour soup mixture over the casserole and top with parmesan cheese.

5Bake casserole (uncovered) at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until bubbly and lightly browned on top.
