Ingredients
- 1/2-1 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped (optional) *can use red bell pepper if preferred
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 can 28-oz. can whole tomatoes (with liquid) crushed up
- 1/2 -3/4 cup sauteed mushrooms in butter and drained well (can substitute jarred mushrooms if preferred)
- 1 can small can sliced black olives
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1 package ground beef, cooked and drained
- 12 ounces cooked spaghetti
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese (grated)
How To Make spaghetti bake

Step 1Saute the onion, peppers (if using) and fresh mushrooms in butter until soft. Add ground beef and cook until no longer pink.

Step 2Add crushed tomatoes, olives and oregano. If adding jarred mushrooms - add now.

Step 3Place half of the spaghetti in a greased baking dish. Top with half of the tomato mixture. Sprinkle with half the cheddar cheese. Repeat a second layer - noodles, tomatoes and cheese.

Step 4Mix soup and water until smooth and thoroughly mixed. Pour soup mixture over the casserole and top with parmesan cheese.

Step 5Bake casserole (uncovered) at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until bubbly and lightly browned on top.
