This is one of those recipes I made up when we were out of anything to have for dinner and no meat except the bacon left in fridge! Directions I gave said quarter but Slices do just as well and sometimes fit into your baking dish better. It makes it's own juices so no need to add any liquid.

Ingredients For sob

  • 30 slice
    squash, fresh
  • 10 slice
    bacon, uncooked
  • 1
    onion
  • 2 pinch
    salt and pepper
  • 2 pinch
    garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp
    margarine
  • SOB IS A SIMPLE AND CHEAP CASSEROLE

How To Make sob

    spray glass backing dish (one with lid)

    Cut Bacon,Squash, and Onion into quarters.

    Layer all three into baking dish and add seasonings
  • 4
    Bake at 400 degrees for 45 min (time could vary between ovens by about 5 min either way)

    Serve with warm rolls and you can always add a salad but my family likes this in the winter with just the rolls.
