How To Make seattle bacon burger casserole
-
Step 1Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Add the sliced jalapeno poppers.
-
Step 2Cook the penne pasta according to package directions; drain.
-
Step 3Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and sliced jalapenos, season with sthe teak seasoning and cook for 8 minutes until the meat is browned. Drain any excess fat.
-
Step 4Stir in steak sauce, honey mustard, and dry onion soup mix and set aside.
-
Step 5Place the bacon pieces into a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes, until evenly browned.
-
Step 6Remove the bacon pieces from the saucepan with a slotted spoon. Transfer into a paper towel-lined plate and set aside.
-
Step 7Melt the margarine and bacon drippings together over medium heat. Add the sliced vidalia onion and saute for 5 minutes until translucent. Whisk in the flour, stirring frequently until the mixture forms a smooth paste.
-
Step 8Whisk in the milk and heavy cream, bring the mixture to a simmer, whisking constantly until thickened. Stir in cream cheese and Parmesan cheese, stirring constantly until the sauce is smooth and thick.
-
Step 9Stir in the cooked penne pasta and beef and jalapeno mixture into the sauce, then lightly mix in the cooked bacon pieces. Pour into a prepared baking dish and sprinkle with shredded monterey jack cheese on top.
-
Step 10Bake in the preheated oven, about 30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly. Let stand for 10 minutes.
