Ingredients
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup butter or margerine
- 1/4 cup plain flour
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 5 large potatoes, about 5 cups
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/2 cups chopped, cooked ham
How To Make scalloped potatoes and ham

Step 1Peel potatoes and slice very thin, thin as possible. Set aside.

Step 2Cook onion in butter until tender but not brown.

Step 3Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Add water stirring until incorporated.Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Remove from heat.

Step 4Place half the potatoes in greased 2 1/2 quart covered casserole dish. Distribute half the ham over the potatoes. Cover with half the sauce. Repeat layers with other half of ingredients.

Step 5Bake covered at 350 degrees for one hour and 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
