quick sheperds pie

I was in the mood for some kind of comfort food, being ill but really wasn't in the mood to cook a big dinner. So I just came up with this and it turned out really good. My husband loved it so it is a keeper.. I thought I would post it so I don't forget what I did.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 - med oinion chopped
  • 1 can mushroom soup, i used the low sodium one
  • 3/4 can of water
  • 1 cup brown gravy
  • 2 - large potatoes peeled and diced and cooked
  • 2 cups frozen mixed vetables
  • dash of garlic powder, salt and pepper
  • 4 cups of mashed potatoes... i used instant for this part.

How To Make quick sheperds pie

  • Step 1
    Saute ground beef in frying pan along with the chopped onions until no longer pink. Drain any fat if you have to.
  • Step 2
    Then stir in your seasonings and cooked potaoes and mixed vegtables.
  • Step 3
    Then stir in your mushroom soup and 3/4 can of water and the 1 cup of brown gravy. stir well.
  • Step 4
    Then put it all into a 8x8 casserole dish and put mashed potatoes on top and cook in 375 degree oven until heated through and bubbly all around the sides of casserole dish.
