Don't let the name fool you. This is a great dish. My family started calling it "pig slop" because it has a little bit of everything.

Ingredients

  • 4
    frozen chicken breasts, thawed
  • 1 medium
    onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    oil
  • 1 can(s)
    chicken broth
  • 1 can(s)
    cream of celery soup
  • 2 c
    frozen mixed vegetables
  • 2 c
    egg noodles
  • 1 tsp
    lemon pepper
  • ·
    salt to taste
  • ·
    pepper to taste

How to Make Pig Slop

Step-by-Step

  1. Cut up chicken into bite-sized pieces. Cook chicken and onion in a dutch oven with oil. Cook until chicken is cooked through and onion tender.
  2. Add chicken broth, cream of celery soup, mixed vegetables, and noodles. Mix through. Add salt, pepper and lemon pepper to taste. Bring mixture to a boil.
  3. Reduce to simmer. Cover and cook for 45 minutes or until vegetables are tender checking and stirring mixture every 10-15 minutes.
