Ingredients
- 2 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
- 2 teaspoons crushed garlic
- 2 tablespoons steak seasoning
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 3 eggs
- 2 tablespoons honey mustard
- 1 green onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons margarine
- 1 pound portabello mushrooms, sliced
- 1 tablespoon sea salt mixed with black pepper
- 6 bacon strips, cooked crisp and crumbled
- 2 cups shredded swiss cheese
How To Make mushroom & swiss burger casserole with bacon

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2In a large skillet over medium heat, add ground beef with crushed garlic and cook for 6 minutes until no longer pink; drain. Season with steak seasoning. Remove from heat.

Step 3In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, eggs, honey mustard and chopped green onion; whisk well for 4 minutes.

Step 4Add the ground beef mixture and mix until combined. Spread into the bottom of a 2-quart casserole dish. Press down.

Step 5Heat margarine in the same skillet over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and saute for 5 minutes or until browned. Season with sea salt/black pepper.

Step 6Place on top of the ground beef mixture. Scatter bacon pieces over the sauteed mushrooms. Sprinkle with shredded Swiss cheese.

Step 7Bake for 25 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
