Ingredients

  • 3-4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 medium carton ricotta cheese, or cottage cheese if prefered
  • 1 package frozen, chopped spinach, thawed & drained
  • 1 package jumbo pasta shells, cooked and drained
  • 1 large good quality marinara sauce from a jar
  • 1 - frozen italian style meatball per shell, costco ones work great.
  • - a sprinkle of salt, pepper and some penseys old world seasoning make it great!

How To Make meatballs in the shell

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350°F. Pour the marinara sauce over the bottom of a glass casserole dish.
  • Step 2
    Combine cheeses, seasonings and cooked spinach. Stuff into the shells, push one meatball into each shell. Arrange in the baking dish.
  • Step 3
    Cover and bake for about 30 minutes or until heated through. Yield: 12 - 14 servings
