macaroni n cheese
This recipe is one my mother made and I've carried it on to my family which is a favorite of my grandchildren. They ask me to make every time they visit or we visit them. I'm now passing the recipe on to my grandchildren so they now have it. As most know this recipe can have many variations added to it. One, is taking a cup of cottage cheese, a beaten egg mixed together adding it to a layer. Also for those liking onion, finely chopped can be added as green chili and chicken. This is a dish with many variations. I've even added various cheeses in a sauce variation with fine bread crumbs.

Ingredients
- 4 cups water
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 3 cups cheddar cheese
- 1/3 cup milk
How To Make macaroni n cheese

Step 1Bring Water to a boil. Add a generous palm of salt to water; add macaroni. Cook for about 12 minutes. Drain.

Step 2Place a layer of the pasta into a greased baking dish, adding a layer of cheese on top adding another layer of pasta and ending with cheese on top.

Step 3Pour milk on top. Place into a 350 degree oven till heated through for about 15 or 20 minutes.
