This new macaroni and cheese recipe I created. It's based on Kinder's teriyaki seasoning and includes teriyaki beef.

  • 1 cup cubed processed American cheese
  • 6 tablespoons teriyaki seasoning, divided
  • 16 ounces dry elbow macaroni
  • 1 tablespoon dark sesame oil
  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 4 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 packet dry onion soup mix
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese, divided

How To Make macaroni and cheese with teriyaki beef

  • Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Step 2
Coat a 9x13-inch casserole dish with cooking spray. Add cubed American cheese and season with 2 tablespoons teriyaki seasoning; mix well.
  • Step 3
Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain. Transfer to a greased casserole dish. Season with 2 tablespoons teriyaki seasoning.
  • Step 4
Heat sesame oil in a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground beef in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly for 6 minutes; drain and discard the grease.
  • Step 5
Reduced to low heat. Stir in remaining teriyaki seasoning, ground ginger, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, and teriyaki sauce. Let it simmer for 3 minutes or until blended. Remove from heat.
  • Step 6
Melt margarine in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Combine heavy cream, milk, dry onion soup mix, cream cheese, and 1 cup shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese.
  • Step 7
Stir well and bring it to a boil for 5 minutes until thickened.
  • Step 8
Add cooked macaroni and teriyaki beef mixture; mix well for 4 minutes until blended. Remove from heat.
  • Step 9
Spoon over a prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle with the remaining shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese.
  • Step 10
Bake for 28 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
