Ingredients
- CHICKEN
- 1 whole chicken
- 1 stalk celery
- 2 sprigs parsley
- salt
- MAC & CHEESE
- 1 stick butter
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 8 ounces macaroni
- 2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
How To Make macaroni and cheese stuffed roasted chicken

Step 1Place the chicken in a large pot of salted water. Make sure the chicken is covered. Add the celery stalk and parsley sprigs. Bring to a boil, cover, and cook until tender; 1 hour or more, depending on how big the chicken is.

Step 2While the chicken is cooking, cook the macaroni in boiling salted water. Drain, reserving one cup of pasta water.

Step 3Whisk the butter and flour together in a pan and then slowly add the reserved pasta water and heavy cream. Whisk until thickened and add the nutmeg and season with salt and pepper.

Step 4Mix the macaroni into half of the sauce.

Step 5Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Place the chicken in a roasting pan.

Step 6Fill the cavity with the macaroni mixture. Place any extra around the chicken. Pour the remaining sauce over the chicken and top with cheese.

Step 7Roast for about 15 minutes until the cheese is golden.
