  • 6 medium
    red skin potatoes thinly sliced
  • 1 pkg
    hot dogs halved lengthwise and cut into slices
  • 1 medium
    onion diced
  • 1 c
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2
    green onions diced

How to Make Hot Dog Casserole


  1. In a saucepan melt the butter and stir in the flour and make a roux. Gradually add the milk and bring to a boil. Cook until thickened and bubbly. Remove from heat.
  2. In a greased 9x9 pan layer 1/3 of the potatoes half of the hot dogs and half of the onions. Repeat layers topping with remaining potatoes. Pour milk mixture over top.
  3. Place in a 350 degrees oven and bake for 45 minutes. Top with cheese and bake another 15 minutes. Serve garnished with green onions
