honey margarine patty melt casserole
A patty melt and my famous honey margarine are combined in this casserole recipe I created. This would be so good with a side of fries.

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 sticks margarine
- 3/4 cup honey
- 10 slices white sandwich bread, toasted
- 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded and divided
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 1/2 tablespoons hamburger seasoning
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon sweet and tangy seasoning
- 1 large vidalia sweet onion, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup half and half
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 3 large eggs
How To Make honey margarine patty melt casserole

Step 1Whisk the margarine and honey in a small bowl until combined.

Step 2Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Step 3Coat the bottom and sides of a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

Step 4Chop 5 toasted bread slices into 2-inch chunks. Arrange in the bottom of the baking dish. Sprinkle with 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese.

Step 5Process the remaining toasted bread slices in a food processor until they're coarse crumbs. Set aside.

Step 6In a large, deep skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for 5 minutes until no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.

Step 7Season with hamburger seasoning and stir in 1 Tbsp honey margarine,Worcestershire sauce and sweet and tangy seasoning. Spoon into the prepared baking dish evenly.

Step 8Heat 2 Tbsp honey margarine in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add sliced vidalia onion and cook, stirring frequently, until soft and caramelized, about 15 minutes.

Step 9Arrange sauteed vidalia onion over the ground beef mixture in the baking dish.

Step 10In a medium bowl, combine heavy cream, half and half, cream cheese,eggs and 2 Tbsp honey margarine; mix well for 3 minutes. Spread onto the beef mixture evenly.

Step 11Top with remaining shredded sharp cheddar cheese.

Step 12In an another small bowl, combine fresh breadcrumbs and remaining honey margarine; mix well. Sprinkle over the casserole.

Step 13Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
