honey garlic chicken nugget casserole
This new chicken nugget casserole recipe I created. It's based on Weber's Honey Garlic seasoning, filled with bow tie pasta and sticky sauteed vegetables.

Ingredients
- 1 bag frozen (all-white meat) chicken nuggets, thawed
- 6 tablespoons margarine, melted and divided
- 8 tablespoons honey garlic seasoning, divided
- 1 cup creamy wing sauce
- 1 cup honey, divided
- 16 ounces uncooked bow tie pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 large red onion, peeled and chopped
- 1 medium orange bell pepper, seeded and sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 1 packet dry onion soup mix
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 8 ounces Gouda cheese, shredded
How To Make honey garlic chicken nugget casserole

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2Place chicken nuggets onto a baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes. Cool completely for 10 minutes.

Step 3Place cooked chicken nuggets in a large Ziploc bag. Add 4 tablespoons of melted margarine, 2 tablespoons of honey garlic seasoning, wing sauce, and 1/2 cup of honey.

Step 4Seal it, shake well, and refrigerate for 3 1/2 hours.

Step 5Coat a 13 x 9-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Add half the chicken nugget mixture evenly.

Step 6Cook bow tie pasta according to package directions, drain. Transfer to a large bowl. Season with 2 honey garlic seasoning; toss well and set aside.

Step 7Heat olive oil in a large, deep skillet over medium heat. Add chopped red onion, sliced orange bell pepper, and minced garlic; saute for 4 minutes or until they are fully tender.

Step 8Reduced to low heat. Season with 2 tablespoons of honey garlic seasoning and drizzle with the remaining honey; stir well for 3 minutes until combined. Remove from heat.

Step 9Heat remaining margarine in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

Step 10Combine heavy cream, evaporated milk, dry onion soup mix, cream cheese, and remaining honey garlic seasoning; whisk together for 5 minutes until thickened.

Step 11Add cooked bow tie pasta and sticky sauteed vegetable mixture. Stir well and let simmer for 6 minutes. Remove from heat.

Step 12Spoon onto the bed of chicken nugget mixture in a baking dish and spread evenly. Add the remaining chicken nugget mixture on top. Sprinkle with shredded Gouda cheese.

Step 13Bake for 30 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
