Looks are deceiving. This is a serious (adult) version of Mac and Cheese that I found on the Kraft website about 10 years ago. In spite of the "hot" spices this is very flavorful without being spicy. Works well at a potluck and my family enjoyed this. Hope you will too.

2 tsp
garlic salt
1 Tbsp
onion powder
1/2 tsp
1/2 tsp

6-7 dash(es)
tobasco sauce
12 oz
shredded mild or sharp cheddar cheese, divided
1 c
corn flakes, crushed

How to Make Dangerously Cheesy Macaroni and Cheese


  • 1Prepare mac and cheese according to directions, adding more milk if you want the sauce to be a little bit soupy.
  • 2Add garlic salt, onion powder, salt, pepper, chili powder, and tabasco sauce to the prepared mac and cheese, stirring until well combined. Take a good-sized hand full of shredded cheese and stir in to mixture.
  • 3Spoon this mixture into a 9x13 buttered baking dish. Cover top with remaining shredded cheese, then crushed corn flakes.
  • 4Bake in a 400 degrees F oven for 10 minutes or until cheese on top is melted and corn flake crust is golden brown.
