Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 package taco seasoning mix
  • 2- 8 ounces cans crescent dinner rolls
  • 4 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 16 ounces can refried beans
  • 8 ounces can tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1/3 cup cornmeal
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup tomatoes, chopped
  • - taco sauce

How To Make crusty crescent taco squares

  • Step 1
    Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Step 2
Brown meat and onions together; drain. Stir in taco seasoning mix, beans, and tomato sauce. Simmer 5 minutes.
  • Step 3
Unroll crescent rolls into triangles. Place in ungreased 10x15 jelly roll pan or casserole(I use a 9x13). Press over bottom and up sides to form crust. Brush dough with oil; sprinkle with cornmeal.
  • Step 4
Spoon hot mixture over crust. Bake at 375 for 25-30 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Sprinkle with cheese. Return to oven until cheese is melted, about 1 to 2 minutes. Cut into squares, top with lettuce, tomatoes and taco sauce, as desired.
