Ingredients

  • 5 large chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 3 tablespoons self-rising flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon parsley flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2/3 cup parmesan cheese

How To Make creamy chicken casserole

  • Step 1
    Place chicken pieces in a greased 9 x 13" pan.
  • Step 2
    Cook butter, flour, spices, and milk until thickened, over medium heat, stirring constantly. Add water and cheese. Mix well. Pour over chicken.
  • Step 3
    Mix 1 sleeve Ritz crackers and 3/4 stick butter, melted, together. Sprinkle over chicken.
  • Step 4
    Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
