creamy chicken broccoli casserole

This is a rich, creamy casserole I came up with by combining a couple of different recipes and adding my own twist. The family labeled this one "a keeper".

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken tenders
  • 1 package frozen broccoli cuts
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 cans cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder

How To Make creamy chicken broccoli casserole

  • Step 1
    Combine softened cream cheese and cream of chicken soup (I microwaved it for about 45 seconds to make it easier), garlic powder and onion powder. Set aside.
  • Step 2
    Cut chicken tenders into bite size pieces and combine with frozen broccoli in 13 x 9 baking pan.
  • Step 3
    Pour soup mixture over chicken/broccoli mixture, spreading to cover completely.
  • Step 4
    Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  • Step 5
    Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
  • Step 6
    Serve over rice or noodles.
