Another savory, creamy, cheesy, garlicky pasta dish, that's sure to please any pasta lover. The prosciutto gives it just the right amount of saltiness without being too much! Quite easy to put together too. I hope you try it sometime. Yum!

How To Make ~ creamed prosciutto linguine bake ~

  • Step 1
In a small skillet over medium heat, add one tablespoon oil and cook prosciutto until lightly browning, about 4 - 5 minutes, stirring often.
  • Step 2
While making sauce, cook pasta and drain well.
  • Step 3
In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in garlic and cook until tender and fragrant. Stir in flour and continue stirring and cooking for a few minutes.
  • Step 4
Whisk in the milk, salt, pepper and nutmeg - making sure there are no lumps. Bring to a light boil, stirring often and continue until thickened. Turn off burner and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. Set aside.
  • Step 5
Preheat oven to 400 degree F. Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish or grease. Spread our half the linguine in the bottom of the dish. Sprinkle with half the prosciutto , 3/4 the mozzarella cheese and a little less than half of the sauce. Spread the sauce over the pasta, covering it all.
  • Step 6
Spread the remaining pasta, prosciutto, sauce and cheese over first layer. Dab with butter cubes.
  • Step 7
Mix together crumb mix and spread evenly over top of casserole. Bake for 20 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
  • Step 8
I leave it set up for 5 minutes before cutting. Can serve with more Parmesan cheese, and salt to taste if need be. Is great served with just a tossed salad.
