My mom used to make this and I just added a couple tons extra cheese. Took years to find the exact perfect combo...play with if you wish and add your special touches. Bacon bits are a delicious add as is ham. I took out the extra stick of butter as I think that was a bit much mother...I was a plump child lol. Bare with...this is my first try adding a recipe and me and technology dont see eye to eye. Please feel free to slam my mistakes.

Ingredients For colleens cheezy mac n cneese

  • box
    1 pd. macoroni whatever you like . i use large / medium shells
  • bag
    1 8 oz. bag sharp cheddar , 1 8 oz bag colby jack,1 8oz.bag mozzarella, 1 8oz. bag white cheddar , + 4 0z asiago and 4 oz new york extra sharp shredded.
  • stick
    1 stick real butter, 1/2 cup flour ,
  • c
    1 1/2 cup milk. i use 2 %
  • salt n pepper

How To Make colleens cheezy mac n cneese

    Preheat oven to 325 .Boil macaroni according to package and drain..dump back into boiling pot. Add half the butter until melted . Add salt n pepper to your taste. My family and I love pepper. Stir.

    Use 1 tsp butter to spread in large baking dish. Start layering like you do lasagna leaving the asiago and New York cheeses for top. Layer macaroni , 1 tbsp flour sprinkled over top of each layer and remaining butter cut in small chunks ...put a few chunks on top each layer.mozzerella first layer , sharp cheddar 2nd layer, Colby Jack 3rd layer ,white cheddar last layer and dont forget your yummy asiago n NewYork extra charm cheddar for top. Use all your flour on your layers as you dont need it for the top.

    Pour milk over layered casserole. Cover with foil and bake 25 minutes and stir in small circles until milk ?,flour and cheeses are saucy n thick. Bake another 15 minuetes until bubbly hot. Enjoy
