Ingredients

  • CASSEROLE
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1/2-inch strips
  • 2 tablespoons roasted garlic and herb seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 packet dry onion soup mix
  • 16 ounces uncooked farfalle pasta
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup half and half
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon sweet and tangy seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • BACON MEDLEY
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 1 pound thick sliced bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 medium yellow bell pepper, diced
  • 1 medium purple onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sweet and tangy seasoning

How To Make chicken casserole with bacon medley

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Step 2
    Heat olive oil in a large, deep skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken strips and cook for 6 minutes until no longer pink.
  • Step 3
    Season with roasted garlic and herb seasoning, black pepper, and onion soup mix. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Step 4
    Cook farfalle pasta according to package directions; drain. Transfer to a large bowl. Add grated Parmesan cheese; toss it well. Set aside.
  • Step 5
    In a medium bowl, combine heavy cream, half and half, cream cheese, and sweet and tangy seasoning. Whisk well for 3 minutes or until blended. Set aside.
  • Step 6
    Heat olive oil and margarine in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Add raw bacon pieces, diced red and yellow peppers, and chopped purple onion. Cook and saute for 6 minutes or until the bacon pieces are brown and crispy and the vegetables are tender.
  • Step 7
    Season with sweet and tangy seasoning.Reduced to a low heat.
  • Step 8
    Add seasoned chicken strips, farfalle pasta mixture, and cream sauce mixture; mix well. Cover and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Step 9
    Remove from heat. Pour into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle with shredded sharp cheddar cheese.
  • Step 10
    Bake for 30 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
